How to Make an Invisible Username on Discord

Discord trims ordinary spaces, so a blank display name needs a real invisible Unicode character. This tutorial shows the two characters that work, where to paste them, and what to do when Discord rejects one.

Which invisible character works on Discord?

Use Hangul filler (ㅤ, U+3164) first. It occupies space while looking blank, and Discord's name validation accepts it in display names and nicknames.

If Hangul filler is rejected, try blank Braille (⠀, U+2800). Avoid zero-width space (U+200B) for names — Discord strips it more aggressively.

Copy ㅤ from the Invisible Text Generator. Open User Settings, then Profiles, and click your display name to edit it.

Delete the current name, paste the Hangul filler, and save. Your name now appears blank in chat, member lists, and voice channels.

For a per-server invisible nickname instead, right-click the server icon, choose Edit Server Profile, and paste the character into the nickname field.

Troubleshooting

If saving fails, the character was trimmed: paste it between two visible letters first to confirm it copies, then try a bare paste again.

Usernames (the unique @handle) cannot be blank — only display names and nicknames can. Handles still need letters or numbers.
